Example 2 - Creating a Library

This example builds on the project created in Example 1. In this example, you will create a library.

Open the First Steps.LPP project that you created in the First Steps example by selecting Open Project from the File menu or by clicking the Open icon on the MDI toolbar. Create a new library by selecting New Library from the Library menu.

On the Library1 tab in the Project panel, right-click the library and select Add then Add MIL-217 System from the shortcut menu. Next, add the blocks and components from the First Steps project into the library. To do this, activate the First Steps project by clicking its tab (First Steps.LPP) in the Project panel. Drag the block from the System panel to the MIL-217 system in the Library panel. The block and its sub-items (components) will be added to the library, as shown next.

Return the focus in the Project panel to the library by clicking the library tab (Library1). Select Save Library from the Library menu and save the library as Quick Start Library.LPL. To keep your libraries organized, it is recommended that you save them in the C:\Program Files\ReliaSoft\Prediction\Libraries folder, in the subfolder designated for the relevant standard.
